WEST LAUNCH OFF TIGER MOUNTAIN TODAY

Today the winds were light and out of the south/west. I made one attempt off the west launch which didn't go so well. George had just hiked up and said it was coming in nicely on the south. So, we hiked down to Tiger's south launch and went paragliding from there. Great flight!

COORDINATING TANDEMS IN MARC'S ABSENCE

This week I'm doing all the scheduling of tandems. It's quite a large task and consumes much of my day. It's nice go out and get a flight, though I couldn't even get a walk on today as there were very few hikers.

TANDEMS WITH THE BRITISH

Today we got to fly the most gracious family from Britain. Their son and daughter were so excited to paragliding. Mom as a little more hesitant but she did great. Here's a few pictures of Ilia's sunset launch from Poo Poo Point on Tiger Mt. Beautiful!

PARAGLIDING IN ISSAQUAH WITH MY CO WORKER

Yesterday I got to paraglide with one of my co-workers, Colleen Gurkin! We originally wanted to do it last year but our schedules never worked out. I didn't bring it up again in case she wanted to back out but early this year she brought it up and yesterday was the day. I'm not sure it would be her first choice for recreational activities but I respect her for giving it a shot.

LIGHT WINDS AT POO POO POINT TODAY

Today the winds were light, even a little east when we first arrived on launch. But they straightened out accommodating a nice light wind launch. We had five tandems in the air and all of us were flushed at the same time. We all ended up landing within 30 seconds of each other. It worked, no one was hurt. Paragliding at Tiger Mountain is always great, even on the sled ride days.

Today was good, I got to paraglide with my mom's friend Julie. She did great! Issaquah, and Tiger Mountain specifically, is such a beautiful place. I'm glad I live here.

Today I helped launch two students and then landed three others. They all did really well.
